Consider fluoride …

It’s interesting. Since returning from a WONDERFUL family vacation in Galway, Ireland, I found out how to listen to the same Irish talk show on my Sonos system that we listened to on while on vacation. I’m addicted to Niall Boylon on Classic 4FM. Right now, they are discussing the proposed ban on Fluoride in Ireland.

There’s a lot of information about how adding fluoride is bad for your health and whether not it even helps prevent tooth decay. This information isn’t something new. This debate has been around since the 1940’s. It’s basically mass medicating people without their consent. I was reading and learning about fluoridation when I had infants (23 years ago), and that’s why I elected to go against the grain and OPT-OUT of routine fluoride rinsing (it’s routinely done at the dentist and at public schools). The local pediatric dentist tried to convince me, but I always declined. And, guess what?? Both daughters have straight and cavity free teeth. The proof is in the pudding. Did they miss out on fluoride? Apparently, not one bit.

I’m not going to get into why it’s bad for you and how it is not effective in preventing tooth decay. You can google it and read about it, and make your own decision.
